The Mayans are easily the smartest culture of their time. They made mathematics, writing, and to top it all off, an extremely accurate calendar. Maybe staring at the sun does do you some good.

The Mayans, showing off their brains, decided to settle in Mexico. With easy access to water and great crops, this was a deal they just couldn't pass up. How were they so smart, you may ask? Well, nobody knows.

Because of their location, they had major crops, so much that they had extra to store and trade. Other cultures were so desperate, one even had to build floating gardens. With the mixture of great land and a great source of water, the villagers could sleep well knowing they had food for the days ahead. You can now see how they were so smart, the smartest of their time.
