Articles of Confederation
Summary: Essay consists of a discussion of the Articles of Confederation.
The Articles of Confederation provided an effective, although shaky and not perfect, first step towards a government from 1781-1789 during the United State's infancy. Documents D, E, and F strengthen the acknowledgment that the Articles of Confederation was an effective form of government. The Articles of Confederation strengthened the United States's foreign issues, organized disputed lands, and brought about treaties and resolution. On the other hand, documents A, C, and G pertain to the downfall and setbacks of the Articles of Confederation. It brought the United States's government no financial support therefor they could not pay the angry army from the Revolution for their services, and many wary leaders thought about the uneasiness of the powerless government with the Articles. The Articles of Confederation was a great first step towards a firm and perfect government.
