Roughly 2,500 years ago, a man by the name of Lao-Tzu wrote a book that serves as a basis for the philosophical school of Taoism. Taoism teaches that there is one undivided truth at the root of all things. The Tao - Te - Ching provides the reader with insight and knowledge as opposed to nonsense because it presents a positive way of understanding reality. Wu - wei, tao, and Te are Lao-Tzu's three ideas that provide knowledge. The book consists of 81 chapters, which has been translated into English more times than any other Chinese document.
