Plot Synopsis: This movie is based on the cruelly ironic story of John Forbes Nash Jr., who won a Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 66 for his revolutionary approach to game theory in his Princeton doctoral thesis.

The movie opens in 1948 as Nash is entering Princeton University. He stands out among his fellow math-geeks as haughty, unsociable, and egotistic; a regular hermit, he rarely leaves his dorm. He routinely skips class, claiming that listening to other men's theories will only hamper his own genius. His only real friend is his roommate Charles.
