Summary: Essay provides an analysis of the character of Julia from "Losing Julia" by Jonathon Hull.
Patrick Delaney, from Jonathon Hull's Losing Julia, is unsure whether he has accomplished more in his lifetime, or lost more. Throughout his life, he has accomplished much indeed. But, at the same time, he had lost his soul mate, Julia, as well as a best friend, Daniel. He did live a very good, long and fulfilling life though.

Although Patrick has a wife and kids, he also finds love in Daniel`s girlfriend, Julia. They met in Paris, France a few years after the war at a memorial ceremony. After a few dates, and much sharing of experiences in the war, the two begin to fall for one another. They make love a few times, and Patrick seems to be madly in love with her. But, Patrick goes back to his wife and son afterwards and feels empty for the next few years. He then divorces Charlotte several...
