Why Did Mankind Have the Need to Make Art?
Summary: Essay provides a discussion on why mankind used art as a form of communication in the days of the caveman.
About 40,000 years ago mankind were at the peak of innovation. These people were gathered in groups at the mouth of caves. What made the need for mankind to make art at this time? In my opinion, some logical reasons can be found in the prehistoric caves of these homosapians. Before the age of civilization, mankind was learning to make use of all thethings around him. This included fire, sticks, caves and creatures that were around him. Through these he had managed to make a shelter, heating, food, tools, and etc. As mankind learned new ways of life it was already giving thought to things beyond it's current needs.
Most of the caves of homosapiens and neandrathals were usually found covered with human figures along with many animal illustrations. perhaps these animals were so influensive on humankind that theu might have had the urge to worship them. So maybe...
