Three different religions, which one to choose? These reformed religions were very active during the 16th century. Martin Luther had a lot of impact and was truly a revolutionary religious figure. He had many followers and gained power quickly. By the time he died people of all classes had become Lutheran. Lutheranism seemed to have a little something for everyone. Since Luther had a peasant background he understood them and had a certain admiration for them. John Calvin created a great impact on future religions. He studied law which also affected the way he would later think. Lutheranism, Calvinism, and Anabaptism all wanted to accomplish reform. Anabaptists were silent in the background but had interesting practices. The reformed religions created their own set of beliefs, and although they differed in some ways they were also alike.
