Summary: Essay on "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare that compares and contrasts the characters of Friar Laurence and The Nurse.
Romeo and Juliet is probably one of Shakespeare's greatest plays. It is a tragedy involving two star-crossed lovers and two feuding families. The Nurse and Friar Laurence both play very big rolls in the play. They both provide support in different ways. The Capulets and Montagues are the main cause of distress in the story. Friar Laurence and the Nurse are both there for Romeo and Juliet in their times of need. In Romeo and Juliet Friar Laurence is a very wise, kind and forgiving person who plays an important role.

Friar Laurence could quite possibly be one of the most important characters in the play. He is a wise, kind and forgiving person.
