Summary: Essay discusses the almighty supreme beings in the work "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe.
In Things Fall Apart, written by "Chinua Achebe one of the great intellectual and ethical figures of our time," which is about "a `strong man' whose life is dominated by fear and anger" (back-cover). Umuofia is located in Nigeria and is one of the nine villages in the area. People use famous medicine man, which are divined to an Oracle for assurance that the medicine man is wise. Okonkwo, the main character, and his family have many instances relating with the Oracle of the Hills and the Caves, which makes important decisions. Therefore, in the novel, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, the Oracle is supreme and no matter his decision good or bad, his decision is final, and the people will obey.
