The book that was read this month was "Just David" by Eleanor H. Porter. It starts off in a little cottage in the mountains and then moves to a small village in the valley of the mountains. It is mostly set in or around a small farm and farmhouse owned by a family named the Hollies. This story revolves around about a year in the life of a kid named David.
The main character of the story is David. He is a round but for the most part static character. He originally lives in a mountain home with his father in a little cottage but his father's health is worsening and so he brings David down to the village in hope that someone will be able to take care of him.
