Summary: Addresses the theme of "The Doll's House" by Katherine Mansfield.
In this modern day in age social classes are taking a backseat to personality with few exceptions. Those few exceptions being vast differences in income. At South Doyle you generally see the poorer classes in the E building or in ROTC. The richer kids you might generally see in classes pertaining to the arts and sciences. Even so social classes are center stage in the short story The Doll's House by Katherine Mansfield. In the story: similes, metaphors, and symbols state the theme.

Similes can often say much in very little words. Such is the case that similes are used in the story. When Aunt Beryl wanted the Kelveys gone it said she "shooed them away as though they where chickens."
