In nature's kingdom, each specie is specialized for survival. Luckily for the birds, they are the only animals that are equipped with feathers and wings instead of forelegs. Walking upright on two hind legs, birds are like humans. Possessing superior eyesight, they are able to discover food from great distances. Birds' sense of smell is not as developed as other animals', which is probably a good thing when diets may consist of rotten flesh. Their mouths contain no teeth; although, with their sharp sturdy bills and powerful jaws, food is quickly ripped into manageable pieces. Many birds build nests. What are nests? Well, you might say that nests are the homes for the birds, which provide safe haven for the eggs, which are carefully laid in the nests, where they are incubated and hatched.
