Inanna: Queen of Heaven and Earth is about the goddess of fertility Inanna, on her journey to obtain power. Her journey begins when the bird, serpent, and maid invade the huluppu-tree. Her brother Gilgamesh, struck the serpent, and all left the tree. She gains more power when Enki hands the holy mé (the laws of civilization) over to her. She then begins to realize the power she hold over others. Once Inanna is married, she begins growing into the power she will attain. Inanna goes to the underworld on a journey for more power. It is there that she is killed and later saved by Enki's help. When she returns, she gains her status as a goddess as well as the full extent of her power and knowledge.
