Analysis of Two Characters from the novel "Bad"
Summary: Essay discusses the similarities and differences of the two characters of Dallas and Shatasia, from the novel of "Bad" by Jean Ferris, who get sent to the Girl's rehabilitation Center.
Dallas and Shatasia are two completely different characters, with a few similarities. Dallas is a very confused teenage girl that gets help at the Girls' Rehabilitation Center (GRC). Shatasia is a young mother and only has her Sharly and her grandmother to get love from, and give to.But deep inside Dallas and Shatsia, have good hopes for the future.
As a baby girl, Dallas' mother, Dixie Lee, would always run off with men, to keep her young years alive. Dixie Lee died in a car accident one evening when she was on the streets with her boyfriend, cruising around all drunk. Dallas' and her dad always used to get in fights, because of no communication, and misconduct. Dallas' dad always used to tell her that she is just like mother when she didn't listen to him about Ray, not being the guy that she should go out...
