Romeo and Juliet

Summary: Essay discusses if Romeo and Juliet were noble or cowardly in choosing the fate of suicide in the play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare.

Do you think that Romeo and Juliet acted nobly or cowardly in choosing suicide? I think that they acted cowardly in choosing suicide. They could have done something with their lives then killing themselves.

The only thing they did by killing themselves was getting themselves a one way ticket to hell. They aren't going to heaven to be with each other. They are going to burn in hell. They could have chosen a better way to go out.

Romeo could have gone on with his life. After a while Juliet would have been together. They wouldn't have to worry about going to hell by killing themselves. Juliet could have ran away from her family to be with Romeo.

Romeo could have purposely lost to Paris so he wouldn't have had to kill himself. Juliet then could have gotten someone to kill her. I think chosen suicide was a cowardly choice!

Where do you think Romeo and Juliet will end up? What is your belief in the outcome of their decision? Do you believe heaven awaits them? All of us make choices in our lives. We hope we will make the right decisions for the best outcome. I hope in my life I will make better choices then that of Romeo and Juliet.
