Summary: Essay discusses the character of Mark Antony from the play "Julius Caesar" by William Shakespeare.
William Shakespeare, who is known to be the greatest playwright ever, wrote the tragedy Julius Caesar. This tragedy is based on historical facts and takes place around 44 B.C. William Shakespeare brought this tragedy to life, thus making it a fiction. Shakespeare was very fond of irony which is shown throughout his stories, and this paper will demonstrate how some of his irony is used. Mark Antony plays the role of a very well known man who is loyal to Caesar and revenges Caesar's death. The irony that is shown by this man is a great example of how Shakespeare used irony in this story.
