1. Considering what kinds of things he went through in school and elsewhere, I would have to say that he was discriminated against poorly. Yet, others do have it worse than he does. I am not belittling his hardships in anyway. But in a sense, he should be glad he was never physically abused. I guess that could've been better because emotional damage is permanent. It's horrible that his family was treated this way when they did no wrong at all! His parents were important people, this must've been a nightmare come true for them. The fact that the teacher initiated and encouraged those types of comments (i.e. "Deport the mothers" "Drop the Bomb" etc.) is absolutely despicable!
