Deleuze and Guattari's Kafka: Toward a Minor Literature is an admirable addition to the University of Minnesota's Theory and History of Literature Series. A brief but dense text, this book has had to wait eleven years to be translated into English. Both the University of Minnesota Press and translator Dana Polan are to be commended for offering us a translation that captures much of the verve and daring of the original text. This edition comes with a helpful foreward by Réda Bensmaïa and a translator's introduction by Dana Polan. A thorough index has made the English edition more accessible.
