In the following essay, a review of the fifth and final volume of A History of Indian Philosophy, Bouquet pays tribute to Dasgupta's wife, Surama, and makes a few points regarding the south Indian philosophy of Saivism.

This, the final volume in Dr. Dasgupta's magnum opus, [ A History of Indian Philosophy, Volume 5: The Southern Schools of Saivism] has been edited and issued, after his death, by his wife, Surama Dasgupta.
