Warren Moon has always been a fighter. Passed over by major colleges after high school and the National Football League (NFL) after a successful career at the University of Washington, Moon went to Canada to prove that he could be a professional quarterback. Now one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Moon also had to fight the racist feelings of others who thought that African Americans could not play quarterback. Instead of quitting, Moon has always fought hard. "I've been told all my life that I didn't have what it took," he told the Rocky Mountain News. "It was the people who told me I couldn't do things that kept me going."
