Authors and Artists for Young Adults on Stephen R. Lawhead
Stephen R. Lawhead's parlayed his long-time interest in history and mythology into a successful career writing historical fantasy novels. His most successful series, "The Pendragon Cycle" follows the life of King Arthur and the magician Merlin. Though this subject had been tackled by many previous writers, Lawhead's innovative retelling of this story appealed to many young adult as well as adult readers, earning him a loyal following and brisk book sales. Lawhead has also branched out into several other successful book series, including the "Song of Albion" volumes, that chronicle two characters traveling between mythological Britain and the modern world.
