Dictionary of Literary Biography on Robert Charles Wilson
Robert Charles Wilson has won or been nominated for several of the most prestigious awards in science fiction, including the Philip K. Dick Award and the Aurora Award, for Darwinia; his penetration of the psychological depths of his characters has provoked comparisons to the science-fiction writer Theodore Sturgeon. In addition to his novels, Wilson has published several short stories in such publications as The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, and Northern Frights. One of his short stories, "The Perseids" (1995), won the Aurora Award and was nominated for the Nebula Award.
Wilson was born in Whittier, California, in 1953. At the age of nine he moved with his family to Canada, where he has lived ever since. He grew up in Toronto and then moved to Nanaimo, British Columbia. As an adult, he moved to Vancouver before returning to Toronto, where he currently lives...
