Sports Stars on Michael Jordan
Known for his ability to "fly" through the air, Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls basketball star, is the greatest player to ever play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Combining the ability to score almost at will, great defensive ability, and a desire to win unmatched in sports, he has accomplished feats that may never be equaled. Jordan's individual accomplishments are almost beyond belief: five-time NBA Most Valuable Player (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, and 1997-98); six-time NBA finals Most Valuable Player (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998); league leader in scoring times (1986-93 and 1996-98); and holder of the highest lifetime regular season (31.5 points per game) and playoff (33.4 points per game) scoring averages.
