Authors and Artists for Young Adults on Maurice Gee
Award-winning fiction author Maurice Gee is, according to a contributor to The Oxford Companion to New Zealand Literature, "one of New Zealand's most distinguished novelists." Though not all of his books have been published in the United States, a representative sampling of both adult and juvenile fiction titles have won him a loyal and enthusiastic readership in that country. His novels for adults are typically set in his native New Zealand, often in historical settings. Many of these novels also feature small town or rural settings.
