The road to success has been a long trip for Lisa Leslie. The journey began in the back of a semi-truck, traveling throughout the country with the driver, her mother. Now Leslie is the driver--taking the ball to the basket as a member of the Olympic gold-medal-winning U.S. women's national basketball team. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, she led the victorious Americans in scoring as they swept away the best competition in the world. A player who once scored over 100 points in one half during a high school game, Leslie now hopes to be a model--both on the court and in the world of fashion.
