Growing up in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Larry Walker--star outfielder for the Colorado Rockies--had a dream. In his dream he was playing in front of a sell-out crowd--as a goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. When his dream of playing professional hockey ended, Walker did not quit. He took up baseball as a hobby, and now he is one of the best players in the major leagues. In 1997 Walker had the season of his life and was rewarded with the National League Most Valuable Player award.
