At twenty-eight, Kenneth Branagh seemingly emerged from nowhere to become one of the hottest film properties on either side of the Atlantic. He was, according to Georgina Howell, writing in Vogue, "the entire force behind the award-winning Henry V. He owned the company, he raised the money, he directed it, cast it, adapted it for the screen, and starred in it." But it was not all an easy ride to fame.
