Karl "The Mailman" Malone has been delivering for eight seasons for the Utah Jazz. At six-feet-nine-inches tall and 250 pounds, Malone is one of the most physically powerful players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Able to battle under the boards for rebounds, Malone also has the speed to run the court on the fast break. As all-star Los Angeles Lakers forward James Worthy said, he is "probably the most dominant player at his position. His strength is just phenomenal [outstanding]. Speed. Quickness. Every play you have to play him your hardest."

Malone frustrates his opponents in numerous ways--he plays a physical game, he refuses to back down when other players try to push him around, and he hates to sit on the bench. "I want to play all 48 [minutes]." Malone told Sports Illustrated. "I don't want ... [anybody] coming in for Karl Malone." This wasn't always the case, however...
