Sports Stars on Hilary Lindh
Skier Hilary Lindh has been moving fast her entire life. She first put on a pair of skis when she was two and has been going downhill ever since. In 1992 Lindh won a silver medal in the downhill race at the Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. In 1996 she earned a bronze medal in the downhill at the World Alpine Ski Championships and then--in a surprise finish--won the gold medal in the same event in 1997. Giving up another chance to ski for Olympic gold, Lindh retired in 1997 as one of the most decorated American female skiers.
