Glen Rice--the shooting guard for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA)--is a master at a dying art: shooting a jump shot. In 1997 he set records for points scored in a quarter (20) and in a half (24) at the NBA All-Star Game on his way to earning most valuable player honors (MVP). His heroics at the All-Star Game helped Rice--one of the most consistent scorers in the league--gain the recognition he deserves as one of the game's best players.
