Dictionary of Literary Biography on Edward (Jeffrey Irving) Ardizzone
Best known in children's literature for writing and illustrating the Little Tim books, Edward Ardizzone had a long and distinguished career as an illustrator of works for both children and adults. Ardizzone, who described himself as a born illustrator, provided artwork for almost two hundred books, including books for children by Eleanor Farjeon, James Reeves, Grahame Greene, and Eleanor Estes.
