Arthur Sellings was a respected British scientific researcher and science-fiction writer, noted for his studies of human adaptability in the face of physical, psychological, and cultural challenges--especially those involving reconsideration of a priori premises and adjustment to frightening shifts of perception, alien races, and alien environments.
