Zuckerman Unbound follows fictional author Nathan Zuckerman in the year 1969. Zuckerman has recently achieved widespread fame due to the success of his latest novel, “Carnovsky.” Zuckerman finds that fame creates many challenges in his life. He has very little privacy, and certain aspects of his work and notoriety cause considerable tension between himself and his family. The novel explores themes of fame, family, fiction, alienation, and mortality.
