Zero K Overview
Zero K is a science fiction novel that follows a young man, named Jeffrey Lockhart (the entire novel is narrated by Jeffrey, except for the chapter "Artis Martineau"), and his experience with the revelation that his father is involved with a project called the Convergence. This program aims to freeze ill people in a process called Zero K until a time where their illnesses can be cured. as well as healthy people so they can be preserved and thawed in the future. Jeffrey's experience with the Convergence begins when he goes to the facility to be with his father's ill second wife, Artis, when she is frozen.Through his stay and later experiences, both at the facility and back home, Jeffrey deals with the ideas of life, death, the present, and the future, The novel also explores Jeffrey's personal history, including his relationship with his father, mother, step-mother, and his girlfriend Emma.
