Young Skins is a collection of short stories and a novella by Colin Barrett. The stories all take place in the fictional small town of Glanbeigh, Co. Mayo, in Western Ireland, and they mostly focus on men in their twenties struggling with feelings of restlessness and alienation. Two of the stories focus on older characters, but those characters struggle with similar emotional challenges while looking back on their past actions and mistakes. This book explores themes of loneliness, violence, infatuation, hope, despair, and identity.
