Wolves of Eden Overview
A mixture of the western, crime, and historical fiction genres, Kevin McCarthy's Wolves of Eden follows the intertwining stories of the O'Driscoll brothers and the men sent to investigate them on the frontier in the aftermath of the American Civil War. As the investigation progresses, the O'Driscolls’ true involvement in the crime comes into focus through narrative switching between the two alternating timelines. Prominent themes in the novel include nature, national and ethnic identity, and the varying definitions of justice.
