Wolf Hollow, named for the small town in Pennsylvania where the story takes place, is a children's novel by Lauren Wolk in which Annabelle McBride recounts the events of her twelfth year in which she contends with Betty, a bully, and defends Toby, a haunted World War I veteran, from Betty's lies which cause the community to shun him. The town easily condemns Toby despite the kindness he shows Annabelle and her family. Annabelle stands as the voice of justice against the townspeople’s misguided aggression.
