In Kristen Arnett's novel With Teeth, protagonist Sammie struggles to reconcile her former single life with her new life as a queer wife and mother. Although Sammie loves her wife Monika and her son Samson, she often feels trapped in a reality, a body, and an identity she does not recognize.
