White Houses Overview
Amy Bloom's White Houses is a novel of historical fiction imagining the romantic relationship between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and her close companion Lorena Hickok. Bloom traces this passionate relationship from its beginning when Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a candidate for president to Eleanor's death in 1962.
