Welcome to Lagos Overview

Chibundu Onuzo's Welcome to Lagos is a literary novel about a ragtag group of Nigerian misfits who get caught up in the embezzlement scheme of a government official and try to use the stolen funds for a good cause. However, when the official becomes a whistleblower to the press about corruption in the government, he puts all of their lives at risk, and the journalist who broke the story is forced to flee the country. The novel considers themes related to rebellion, friendship, poverty, and education.
