We Need to Hang Out Overview
We Need to Hang Out, by Billy Baker, is subtitled “A Memoir of Making Friends.” The narrative is the first-person story of one man’s effort to fight off what he sees as the proven dangers of loneliness by establishing, or re-establishing, quality friendships. As he describes his many attempts to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, the author’s narrative also develops themes exploring heterosexual maleness and the relationship between science and life.
