This novel focuses on the past and present lives of the five troubled members of the Oh family – primarily, divorced parents Orion and Annie. As Annie prepares for her impending same-sex re-marriage, she and her family each recall aspects of their histories as a family and as individuals, coming to a degree of peace with who they were and with who they have become. The novel also explores themes relating to the creation of art, to the heritage of trauma and violence, and to the values of religion and faith.
