Wall of Silence by Tracy Buchanan is a psychological crime novel. When Melissa Byatt’s husband, Patrick, is critically injured in a stabbing, she fears that her children know more than they are telling about what happened. Themes in the novel include acceptance and ostracism, the stigma of mental illness, and the dangers of perfection.
