In Un Lun Dun, Deeba Resham travels to London’s alter-ego, a city made up of all the things that are now obsolete in London. This UnLondon is besieged by the Smog, a toxic cloud that has developed a brain-like neural network, and also a hunger for more toxic smoke. With a motley crew of wraiths, binjas (garbage can ninjas) and utterlings (word-creatures created by being spoken) Deeba figures out how to prevent the Smog from burning UnLondon—and London—to inhale all the cities’ knowledge and personalities in the smoke.
