Trust Exercise is a novel by Susan Choi. The novel follows Sarah, a student at an arts-focused high school, as she attempts to negotiate the hazards of teenage romance. The narrative then jumps ahead more than a decade to examine the characters as adults. Years after their time in high school, the characters still struggle to confront and accept various events of that time. The novel explores themes of memory, heartbreak, art, sexual predation, youth, and adulthood.
