Thinking, Fast and Slow Overview
Thinking, Fast and Slow is a nonfiction book by Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences winner Daniel Kahneman. Kahneman analyzes the research produced by him and his colleagues over decades and presents the thesis that there are two modes of thought which he identifies as System 1 and System 2. Through these definitions, the author explores the psychology of the subconscious and our perceptions of intuition. Through research, observation, and statistics, Kahneman explores and discusses functions of the brain, the science of availability, overconfidence, and illusions of understanding and viability.
