Everything you need to understand or teach They Flee From Me.
"They Flee From Me" is a sixteenth-century lyric poem by English poet and courtier, Sir Thomas Wyatt the Elder. It was originally published posthumously in the collection Tottel's Miscellany in 1557. The poem details the speaker's experience with women who, once interested in him romantically, have become fickle in their affections. Many speculate that the poem is autobiographical, describing Wyatt's illicit relationships with numerous noblewomen in the court of King Henry VIII.
