In The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware, travel journalist Laura “Lo” Blacklock was still reeling from a burglary at her own home when she heard what sounded like a body being thrown from the balcony of the cabin next to her on a boutique cruise liner. She did not realize she had unintentionally stumbled onto something more nefarious than what she imagined. Despite warnings to stop asking questions, Lo continued to try to find out what happened to the girl in the cabin next door to her. Themes in the novel include the stigma of mental illness, a victim’s reality, and the different lives of the rich and the working class.
