The Three-Body Problem is a science fiction novel by Chinese author Cixin Liu and translated into English by Ken Liu. This epic novel opens the trilogy Remembrance of Earth's Past, and involves the efforts of two groups of humans in both encouraging and stopping an alien invasion as a way of saving humanity. The Three-Body Problem deals with important themes as both groups vie for the upper hand, including the idea that science is not the summit of human existence, that humanity may not be redeemable, and that advanced civilizations are not necessarily moral civilizations.
