The Soul of an Octopus Overview
The Soul of an Octopus reports on Sy Montgomery's experiences at the New England Aquarium. By returning for months to visit a series of octopuses and getting to know the other volunteers, she learns about octopuses' souls and consciousness. Montgomery learns to dive and experiences the octopuses' world, the ocean, which slows down her experience of time and brings her a new kind of consciousness.
